Why is design so important in our lives? We often get so busy that we don’t notice our surroundings until they don’t serve our needs and feed our soul.

As an interior designer, one of my greatest joys is helping you discover your style and having you say how much you love your newly designed space because you feel warm, comfortable and happy.

Interior design can be an afterthought for the chronically busy and priority-driven way we live today. When you really think about how important it is to your well-being, it becomes more of a priority.

When you come home from work or from a busy day with the kids, stop for a moment and really think about how you feel when you walk in the door. Do you feel an instant sense of calm and relaxation? Do you feel happy and energized?

Take an hour or so and walk around your home and really reflect and sense the space around you. Do you have a place to retreat and rejuvenate after an especially trying day?

Does your home function well when you entertain? Do you feel like an accomplished host or hostess, or do you feel slightly uneasy that some things just don’t seem to work when you have more than your family around. How does that make you feel?

Does your home reflect your personality, or is it a blend of ideas and parts and pieces that just don’t seem to work together.

The Enigma Collection features a variety of patterns that can be used alone or in combination with others. The engineered hardwood has a durable finish that eliminates the need for refinishing every few years which is a bonus. This pattern could be installed on floors or walls. The Projection Collection features 3.5″ square blocks of wood at varying depths that create so much visual interest, you just have to run your fingers across it. Artisanal Wallpaper for Any Room in Your Home

Montreal in Metallic Gold

Thibaut is a company that I have long depended on a for lovely wallpapers that work beautifully with the color palettes our clients favor. Bright corals, lively aquas and warm neutrals for every room in your home. Just recently they teamed up with Alpha Workshops and the new Artisan collection is a wonderful new direction. Many of the papers are hand-blocked or have that effect with gives them a wonderful artisanal quality. The colors are more muted and the papers are classic but with some modern updates. Forgot wallpapers that take over your room. These papers offer texture, color and a lovely backdrop to solid or printed fabrics. They will give your room a cohesive feel that still allows you to change fabrics in the future.

La Gioconda - White and Grey

Gingko is one of my favorites, available in 8 different colorways and features just what you would expect….beautifully styled Gingko Biloba leaves in metallic and matte finishes as well. La Giocanda is a soft trellis pattern that would be soothing and lovely for a bedroom in Metallic and Plum.

Lastly Maryse features hand stamped medallions that would be equally at home in study or bedroom. I have been designing homes a long time but every new collection energizes me and I am excited with by the possibilities. Maybe these patterns will appear in your home soon!
